A little more on Bennie if you are interested: Bennie Maupin is best known for his atmospheric bass clarinet playing on Miles Davis classic "Bitches Brew" album, as well as other Miles Davis recordings such as, "Big Fun" "Jack Johnson," and "On the Corner." He was a founding member of Herbie Hancocks seminal band The Headhunters, as well as a performer and composer in Hancocks influential Mwandishi band.

Thingamagoop

Thingamagoop is a curiously strange analog synth by bleep labs. It is completely customizable from a color perspective, probably an interesting way to introduce a kid to electronic music generation. It does in fact have a 1/4" output.

Of course it can't believe it even took this long for this to happen, even though digital cameras are ubiquitous in this day and age, I am sure hacks like this will bring them even further into the society....hooray....I know never to write anything you wouldn't want to see published...soon you won't be able to do anything you wouldn't want a picture of.

Zillow - Real Estate Mashup with added value

Hardly news as Zillow as been around for a while now and gone through a couple rounds of venture capital funding. I am impressed with the ability to use this tool to quickly assess a neighborhood, I am into land speculation from a hobby perspective (although I have never actually pulled the trigger and invested outside of our primary residence) so I find the tool useful. I must also say living in a neighborhood which has had a reasonable # of home sales in the last few years, I can attest to the accuracy of their zEstimates. I know at least Yahoo agrees with me on the value of this tool, because they just signed a huge integration deal (try typing the search "Home Values" into Yahoo to see what I mean (first link after the ads)).

Ok so I have had this idea for a while.

I am an avid feedreader, my tool of choice happens to be netvibes, which I didn't particularly like at first, but warmed up to it. I like the viewer and page flexibility, and consistent improvements about once a quarter.....in any event I digress.

So after consuming feeds daily for about a year on the topics in my description, I thought that it would be valuable for me to start to chronicle what I liked.

For people who don't know me I think this will be a nice aggregation site, plus a chance to learn who I am, for those who do know me a nice, easy way to keep track of me.
